The Sessions
I offer daytime and evening appointments and can sometimes see clients at weekends or at short notice. The initial consultation, which is free of charge, will last approximately 30-40 minutes. Subsequent sessions will last one hour.
The number of sessions required is often difficult to predict. Sometimes it takes only a few sessions to unravel a problem and find a way forward. Inevitably more complex or deep-rooted difficulties will take longer. However I am committed to achieve as much as possible in the shortest time. We will mutually agree and review the frequency and number of sessions as the counselling proceeds. You are, of course, free to terminate your counselling at any time.
My counselling room is situated upstairs. However, I can make arrangements for sessions to take place at ground floor level if requested. Unfortunately, due to the design of the building, wheelchair access is not available.
Cost
I offer an initial consultation which is free of charge. Subsequent sessions are charged at £35 per hour. A reduction may be possible if on a low income or unemployed.
Payment may be made by cheque or cash at the end of each session.
